Soy Unfortunate: Finals Now Non-Derry

This is Mandy Moore performing "In My Pocket":

This is Jessica Mauboy performing "in the pocket":

Do you see?

I think it's important to recognise and applaud Jessica's commitment to decent hair now that the human jex pad Reagan What A Fucking Waste Dairy has completely pissed her future up a wall by choosing a shithouse rock song that even Eurovision winners Lordi wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

Or a 5 ft Pole

It's safe to say that Reagan Dairy is the best talent to ever depart the finals so early on this show, but it's a departure that's unfortunately a richly deserved one. S2BC is sad to have chalked up a 2-for-2 prognostication record this year.

S2BC, is that a sly reference to Francis Dolarhyde in Michael Personn's 'Manhunter'? If so, bouquets.

Themata is an awesome rock song ... Reigan just didn't sing it all that well.

I so much wanted Reigan to stay to hear some other non-mainstream songs from her but unfortunately because of the Idol format her choices were suicidal :( I reckon we'll see more of her post idol.

Anonymous: you're quite right, I'm sure Themata is a good song, but it was utterly shithouse for someone to choose on this show. She just didn't show any smarts, which is a waste.

Sarks: agreed. She had a "Prayer" type moment in her, I reckon, which we'll never see. She'll get there though.

    Personxzilla: Sadly, no.

    Bang on.

She had it all, move, voice, looks, an awesome rack, sale-ability.

    And rubbish songchoice.

    Stupid!

I think Reigan might have made it if not for that awful last note. At first I thought maybe it was part of the original song, but that doesn't look to be the case. She had absolutely no excuse.

That band Myspace site that Holden mentioned is at myspace.com/karnivool, if anyone's interested. The song actually isn't that bad.

First off you can't hide behind song choice.. but even if you do, she still sings like she's had uninspiring singing lessons for too long; her style is musical theatre and not to a professional level - so good that she left so early before she was forced to slaughter some andrew lloyd-webber.

I just hope the sympathy vote doesn't win again. Guy Sebasian and Casey Doughnutvan made me sick.

I think Guy is offically the ugliest person to ever be in a Pepsi ad (yes, I know Michael Jackson did one).

    They make my skin crawl.

Hules: while I absolutely support the nihilation of all ugly people, I will not tolerate the lambasting of Casey Doona-Van. Casey was absolutely the best and most ideal winner from her series - her performances of "The Flame" and "Beautiful" rank as all-time bests in the Idol canon.

I also don't consider Guy's victory to be the result of sympathy - Shannon winning would have been. Guy was the winner the moment he auditioned and everyone knew it.
