Back To Basics, Lesson 1: Stealing Is Easier

This is a picture of French megastar Mylène Farmer, taken almost 6 years ago.

Mylène is a trail-blazing musical genius with enormous longevity and capacity for reinvention whose only realistic pop peers would be Kylie Minogue and Madonna if France mattered.

The image is from the cover of her first greatest hits compilation, and the highest selling compilation album ever in France, entitled "Les Mots" (which means "Words", some examples of which appear in the picture).

It's a strikingly original image which depicts Mylène as a fun, coquettish person with a fondness for zebras and cushions, who has momentarily forgotten one of life's principal household tenets relating to footwear on furniture.

This, on the other hand, is a picture of American megastar Christina Aguilera, taken almost 5 minutes ago.

The image is from the album sleeve of her new album entitled "Back To Basics".

It's a strikingly unoriginal image that depicts Xtina as a slut with a fondness for stealing lesser-known artists' photographic ideas, who has momentarily forgotten that her new album will also be sold in France.

And speaking of Madge, didn't she do an eerily similar photo shoot BR (before Richie) and BB (before botox)???
